I can't believe that I am half way done with this fit challenge! I knew that it would be hard to lose 10 pounds in 30 days, but it just came off in the beginning and made me think that it would be so easy. I think that lead to me to not make the best choices and not follow my diet and exercise plan as well as I should have. Well, let's make one thing clear, losing weight is not easy. It didn't take one day to put it on, so it sure as hell isn't going to come off in a day either. It takes time, focus and a clear commitment to your goals.
I have been very honest to my friends, family and co-workers that I am doing this 30 Day Fit Challenge, and blogging about it for the world to see. I know that this is keeping me accountable, but it all comes down to the commitment and accountability to myself.
Yesterday I had a kick ass workout and I follow-ed my diet to a t. I've said it before, but how you start your week, is how you end your week. So I am going to stick to everything this week! Make sure I stay within my allotted points everyday and make sure that I exercise for at least 30 minutes every day! I've been good about taking the stairs instead of the elevator and parking farther away when I am running errands - all important changes to make in your life. Here is to a great second half of the 30 Day Fit Challenge! :)
For breakfast I had:
- 2 cups of black coffee with splenda: 0 WW points
- 3/4 cup of my pumpkin and flax seed cereal with 1/4 cup of skim milk: 6 WW points
- Total for breakfast:6 WW points / 19 WW points left for the day
I actually ventured downstairs for lunch today and ate with my colleagues. For once, it was actually LUNCH and not DINNER. They typically serve very calorie laden foods that make you exhausted afterward and honestly consume most of your daily food allowance, if not more. For lunch I had:
- 1 chicken breast: 3 WW points
- vegetables: 1 WW point (since I did not know how they were prepared)
- rice, it looked brown, but I'll count it as white: 4 WW points
- jello mousse cup: 1 WW point
- Total for lunch: 9 WW points / 10 WW points left for the day
Lunch was overall pretty healthy and really did fill me up. I should stay full for the remainder of the day. I'll have a snack before I hit the gym. We are having fish for dinner tonight with some broccoli. It will be healthy and delicious. I am hoping for another perfect day of my nutrition and my workout. I will be working out with Andrew tonight. We always have great workouts together and I am exhausted afterward! I love it! :)
I am off to the gym with Andrew. He knows how much I want to reach my goal of 10 pounds in one month, so he is going to hand my butt to me at the gym tonight. I am going to grab an apple for 2 WW points before heading over there. That leaves me with 8 WW points for dinner. I can totally do that! :) Are you all headed to the gym tonight - you best be!!!
Andrew and I had a great workout! We did legs and shoulders for about an hour and then we did 30 minutes of cardio. I was definitely tired afterward, but it was well worth it! :) We went home and for dinner I made:
- grilled chicken with lemon pepper seasoning: 3 WW points
- we split a beer: 1 WW point
- couscous serving: 4 WW points
- Total for dinner: 8 WW points / another perfect diet and exercise day! :)
