The Fastest Workout Ever...?

Sometimes people look for the easy way out.   They look for the least difficult way to do things.  Maybe they think things can always be done quicker - and with less effort.  Getting things done quickly is one thing.  Expending less effort?  Well, that's normally where the problem comes in.

A Protein Recipe that Tastes like Dessert!

Oftentimes we don't want to eat "healthy" foods because we don't like the way they taste. Maybe they lack flavor or we think that they don't "fill us up."  Making foods that are good for you taste better isn't always easy, but here's an example of a recipe that solves that problem.

BIG Bad Habits (Bad Habits that can Make you Fat)

Posted by Andrew in Weight Loss , nutrition , advice

Andrew

Everybody does it. That's right.  Everyone. No one is excluded here.

What am I talking about?  Bad habits.  We all have them.  We all fall victim to them. Whether they are considered a typical vice or not, everyone has partaken in a bad habit or two.  Some people more than others.  Some people are actually addicted to bad habits.  Unhealthy activities can help people simplify their lives and cope better in the short term. Every other thing they do may be considered bad or unhealthy.  At the same time, there are others who are more aware of what is considered "bad."  They avoid these so called "bad" activities or actions for the most part.  But still, even these individuals sometimes break the rules. Sometimes being perfect all the time just doesn't work.

Hit the Weights Ladies!

Molly isn't your average forty something.  She eats right.  She gets enough sleep.  She controls her stress levels.  She's figured out how to juggle family comittments while still making time for herself.  Oh yea, and she lifts weights.

Don't worry though.  She's not the one in the corner of the gym by the water fountain turning green.  Her muscles don't bulge out of her clothes.  Her veins don't pop out of her skin either.  Actually she looks pretty good.  People notice her.  Her friends envy the way her dresses fit her body.  They can't believe her stomach is still flat enough to wear a bikini. They're even a little jealous of her arms.  They're not too big, not too thin, and they have just the right amount of muscle tone.  But these things don't surprise Molly.  She's used to them by now.  She realized long ago that they are just a few of the many benefits that come from lifting weights.

Is Chocolate Really that Bad?

Posted by Andrew in nutrition , health and wellness

Andrew

Chocolate is found in a lot of things, from candy bars to brownies.  But is it really that bad?  If we are talking about chocolate by itself, then the answer may surprise you.  Although a lot of the things that contain chocolate also contain loads of other stuff - stuff that isn't that healthy - the chocolate may not be the problem.  In fact, if it's the right kind, and it's in the right amount, it may be good for you.
